I have decided to join the other Stampin' Up demonstrators who have card and inspiration challenges and start one of my own. I haven't put all the ideas together yet but it will be pretty low key and simple. I'm going to call it Monday Manic Challenge. I have chosen this name because for most people I know (me included) who work full time in addition to their fun time jobs, Monday is the craziest and busiest day of the week. After the long and busy day, I want to go straight home and start stampin', which for me and some other stampers I know is a form of relaxation and winding down. My oldest uncle passed away this past August; I was his first born niece and during his eulogy, they commented on how he and I would spend hours together singing songs from artists like Joan Jett, Fleetwood Mac, John Cougar and the Bangles. So as I sang the lyrics in my head - "it's just another Manic Monday, I wish it was Sunday" to the Bangles famous hit song, I thought it would be the perfect inspiration for the name of my challenge.
Here is how it will work: I only plan to have a challenge every other week to allow you some time to complete your project and me some time to choose a winner. So with that in mind I will post a challenge every other Monday and give you the entire work week to complete and post your card. Cards will be due by Friday, I will choose the card I like the best over the weekend and post links to the entries (a link back to your blog) and a winner the following Monday. Then once every quarter I will put all the winners names into a drawing for some blog candy. I still have a few more kinks to work out, but am very excited to get started. Look for the first challenge Monday, March 29th.
