For You

Several months ago I borrowed a big shot die from Jenn G and used it in my Cuttlebug to make several of these cards. The die cuts out the design shape below and there is a coordinating stamp set that makes the same image slightly smaller. I used the die to cut the larger one in certainly celery dsp and hand cut the smaller one to fit on top. This card uses baja breeze, certainly celery and chocolate chip. I liked how they turned out.
On another note, hubby had a checkup at the doctor yesterday for his foot and they sent him today to a wound specialist that dug into his foot and caused him alot of pain. His foot is not healing as quickly as they would like it to so they irritated the wound to rejuvinate the healing process. It sounded painful when he was explaining it. He is still not released to wear shoes, therefore he can't go back to work yet. Another week at home...I think I'm going to pull my hair out :0
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

2009 Calendar

I started working on this calendar a long time ago and was just able to finish the last couple of months over the 3 day weekend. It is made using the 4"x4" chipboard coasters and bound together using my Bind-it-All. I think it turned out pretty cute. It sits on my desk next to my telephone at work so I can look at it everyday I'm here.

Landscaping

In addition to typical housework, I spend alot of time outdoors with my flower beds and landscaping. I love this part - kind of a stress relief for me - especially now since hubby can't go to work for the next 2 weeks. When I get tired of him, I can just go outside. Here are some pics of my landscaping, nothing too extravagant, but I am proud. Oh yeah, and all the rock you see in the pics - I did all of that one 50lb bag at a time. I'll post some before pics of that project later in another post; completely forgotten I hadn't shared that project yet. Warning - picture overload!

a new addition at the side of the house I completed this spring...

I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Mine is going to be a busy one!

Birthday Card

I have lots of birthday cards to make in the next couple of months. Seems like all the birthdays pile up one after another once mine has passed...so I'll be posting pics as I get them made. This one here was given to my Grandpa's wife (my grandmother passed away 20 years ago). I actually made it at a card class that Terri held last summer when the current "in" colors first came out. This card uses SU! kiwi kiss, riding hood red and pink pirouette cardstocks and bella rose dsp. I think the rose paper fit this lady perfectly.
